Ammara Khan Red Farshi Lehenga (Inspired Version)

€999.00

Inspired by Ammara Khan, this red Farshi lehenga comes in three pieces: a medium-length tissue silk shirt, a Jamawar lehenga and a matching 3.5-yard Masuri dupatta. Gold, copper and silver-toned work covers the maroon base, heaviest at the neckline and hem; sizes are standard or custom, tailored to measurements, and the design can be reworked.

Farshi lehenga: tissue silk, Jamawar and Masuri

A boat neckline, full sleeves and a closed back shape the shirt, which stops at medium length above the Farshi lehenga. Over an attached cancan, the lehenga widens into a circular full ghera that flows into a long trail. Zardozi, dabka and kora in antique gold, copper and silver travel across the outfit with sequins, beads and cutwork. They build up around the neckline, the shirt hem and the base of the lehenga. The dupatta keeps its small repeated motifs to the centre and its thickest embroidery to the edge. The outfit is silk lined, with a total weight of around 10 kg.

Maroon laid to the floor

Farsh is the Urdu word for floor, and this red Farshi lehenga takes the name literally. The lehenga reaches the ground and goes on into the trail. Maroon spreads out behind the bride like a carpet unrolled along a corridor, now dark red, now burgundy, with the gold and copper brighter against it.

Copper and silver streak the antique gold, so the embroidery changes temperature as it catches the light. Across the lower shirt, pendant motifs hang in vertical lines and pull the eye into the lehenga. The sleeves appear semi-sheer and lightly decorated above heavily worked cuffs, and that thinner stretch lets the bodice breathe.

Drawn over the head, the dupatta has the plan of an old rug: a calm field inside a broad border. One side drops almost the full length.

At a Baraat, a Nikkah or a Walima

With this much gold it is a Baraat dress first, and the maroon sits just as easily at a Nikkah or a Walima. Its natural neighbours are the Baraat dresses and the red and maroon bridal lehengas. Nearest of all is the Maroon Bridal Farshi Lehenga, which pairs a net shirt and chiffon dupatta with a Jamawar lehenga, ghera and long trail of its own. The gold-toned choker and jhumkas shown are styling only. Since the boat neckline is tightly framed, a passa and large antique-gold earrings do more here than a necklace.

You stay in control until it ships

Watch it being made

Ask us at any stage and we send photographs or video of your actual outfit โ€” from the first sketch through the embroidery frame to the finished garment. Ask as often as you like on WhatsApp.

A complete video before it ships

Before the parcel is sealed we send you a full video of the finished outfit. If a detail needs adjusting, tell us then and we make the change where it is workable. Nothing leaves us until you have seen it.

Exactly what you see

The photographs and video on this page are of the outfit we make โ€” the same fabrics, the same handwork, the same weight in the hand. A screen can only carry so much: it cannot show how the zardozi catches light as you turn, or how the ghera moves when you walk. That is why we send you a video of your own outfit before it ships, so you judge the real thing rather than a photograph.

Sizing & Measurements

Choose a standard size, or select Customised Size and we stitch to your own measurements at no extra cost.

Your size or measurement details are provided before checkout is completed, which is why production can begin the day after you order. If a measurement is unclear, send it to us on WhatsApp before you submit it and our team will confirm it with you.

Size guide and how to measure

Care

  1. Always put paper between the layers when you fold it away. Kora, dabka and nakshi are metallic wire, and the fabric underneath them is fine. Every time the outfit is opened or folded, a stitch on one layer can catch the layer pressed against it and tear through it. A sheet of tissue or plain paper between the layers keeps the wire work away from the cloth, and it costs nothing. Use plain paper rather than newspaper on pale or ivory fabrics, because newsprint ink can mark them.
  2. Store it folded, not hanging. A heavily worked outfit is heavy, and months on a hanger pull the weight onto the shoulder seams.
  3. Dry clean only. Hand and machine washing damages metallic embroidery. Tell your cleaner the outfit carries zardozi, dabka or similar metallic handwork so it is cleaned by hand rather than by machine.
  4. Keep it away from direct sunlight and damp. Perfume and hairspray go on before the outfit, not after.

Questions About This Outfit

Can the design be customised?

Yes. Most customers ask for the design to be made a little more modest โ€” higher neckline, longer or fuller sleeves, more coverage at the back, a longer shirt. Tell us what you want changed on WhatsApp before you order so the pattern is cut correctly the first time. Colour, embroidery colour, sleeves, neckline and length are all adjustable on most designs.

Will the dress look exactly like the photographs?

It will be very close, and we do not compromise on the embroidery or the fabric. Two honest exceptions: the colour shade can look slightly different because of studio lighting and your screen, and because every customer's height and body type is different, a pattern may need to be adjusted so the design sits correctly on you โ€” on a shorter frame, for example, part of the shirt pattern may have to be re-cut. Ask for the final video before dispatch and you will see the actual garment before it ships.

Can I return or exchange it after delivery?

No. Every outfit is cut and stitched for one customer, so it cannot be resold or swapped for another size. That is exactly why the review happens before dispatch: ask for progress photographs and video at any stage, and for the complete final video before your order ships. An order can still be cancelled before dispatch โ€” the windows and deductions are set out in our return policy.

Is there any extra cost on top of the price shown?

No hidden charges. The price you see is the price of the outfit. The only additions are the ones you choose yourself: Rush or Super Rush delivery, and any paid add-ons such as jewellery. Each is priced clearly before you pay.

Can I get matching jewellery with this outfit?

Yes. Matching earrings, necklace and related pieces are available as paid add-ons on this product โ€” select them before you add the outfit to your basket and they are made and shipped with the same order.

Can I get a matching hijab or an extra dupatta?

Yes. Both are possible. Message us on WhatsApp when you place your order and we will tell you exactly how to arrange it.

Is Rush or Super Rush delivery available for this outfit?

Yes, on bridal and groom wear. The Estimated Delivery Timeline box near the top of this page shows live dates for Free, Rush and Super Rush against today's date, so it is always accurate for your order.
