Ich war bei der Größe etwas unsicher, aber Shadi Dress hat mir sehr gut geholfen. Die Saree saß am Ende richtig schön.

White Bridal Saree with Gold Zardozi Video

Tissue silk saree with a silk dupatta

This bridal saree pairs a short tissue silk blouse with the saree drape. A circular full ghera shapes the lower section, also in tissue silk. The blouse has a high neck, full sleeves and a closed back, and does up with a concealed zip and hooks. Kamdani, mirror work, pearl work and zardozi are confined to two places, a single line at the neckline and all over the dupatta, with cutwork and sequins alongside. The layer draped from shoulder to floor carries a close field of small round reflective elements, while the centre front below is plain. The matching silk dupatta is 3.5 yards long, and the set is silk lined throughout and around 5 kg.

White, lit for the reception

Most of the shine on this saree lives in one place. On the draped layer, tiny round points sit in tight, even rows, like strings of bulbs let down from the roof of a wedding house, lit against its white walls. The folds tip those rows onto a slant, so the eye travels down and across at once.

Everything else holds back. The blouse is bare except at the high neck, which lifts attention to the face first. Nearer the hem, the centre front is left empty, marked only by fine diagonal lines, and that open area lets the patterned length beside it stand out. It also stops a sparsely worked white bridal saree from appearing fuller than it is.

The white itself is warm, a cream under amber light, and the gold moves from sharp to muted as it turns in and out of shadow. At the floor the points gather again, and the fall runs on behind like the last string of bulbs trailing on the ground.

For the reception, a bridesmaid or the bride’s mother

A reception held into the evening is where this saree’s shine shows most, and it sits with the reception sarees for that reason. With embroidery kept this sparing, it is just as right for a bridesmaid or the mother of the bride. The Green Bridal Saree, in green and blue with gold, has more embroidery and comes with a 4-yard Banarsi dupatta. Jewellery in the photographs, silver-toned drops, bangles and rings, is styling only. The high neck asks for no necklace; gold-toned earrings or a slim matha patti would go with the gold of the saree better than silver.

You stay in control until it ships

Watch it being made

Ask us at any stage and we send photographs or video of your actual outfit — from the first sketch through the embroidery frame to the finished garment. Ask as often as you like on WhatsApp.

A complete video before it ships

Before the parcel is sealed we send you a full video of the finished outfit. If a detail needs adjusting, tell us then and we make the change where it is workable. Nothing leaves us until you have seen it.

Exactly what you see

The photographs and video on this page are of the outfit we make — the same fabrics, the same handwork, the same weight in the hand. A screen can only carry so much: it cannot show how the zardozi catches light as you turn, or how the ghera moves when you walk. That is why we send you a video of your own outfit before it ships, so you judge the real thing rather than a photograph.

Sizing & Measurements

Choose a standard size, or select Customised Size and we stitch to your own measurements at no extra cost.

Your size or measurement details are provided before checkout is completed, which is why production can begin the day after you order. If a measurement is unclear, send it to us on WhatsApp before you submit it and our team will confirm it with you.

Size guide and how to measure

Care

  1. Always put paper between the layers when you fold it away. Kora, dabka and nakshi are metallic wire, and the fabric underneath them is fine. Every time the outfit is opened or folded, a stitch on one layer can catch the layer pressed against it and tear through it. A sheet of tissue or plain paper between the layers keeps the wire work away from the cloth, and it costs nothing. Use plain paper rather than newspaper on pale or ivory fabrics, because newsprint ink can mark them.
  2. Store it folded, not hanging. A heavily worked outfit is heavy, and months on a hanger pull the weight onto the shoulder seams.
  3. Dry clean only. Hand and machine washing damages metallic embroidery. Tell your cleaner the outfit carries zardozi, dabka or similar metallic handwork so it is cleaned by hand rather than by machine.
  4. Keep it away from direct sunlight and damp. Perfume and hairspray go on before the outfit, not after.

Questions About This Outfit

Can the design be customised?

Yes. Most customers ask for the design to be made a little more modest — higher neckline, longer or fuller sleeves, more coverage at the back, a longer shirt. Tell us what you want changed on WhatsApp before you order so the pattern is cut correctly the first time. Colour, embroidery colour, sleeves, neckline and length are all adjustable on most designs.

Will the dress look exactly like the photographs?

It will be very close, and we do not compromise on the embroidery or the fabric. Two honest exceptions: the colour shade can look slightly different because of studio lighting and your screen, and because every customer's height and body type is different, a pattern may need to be adjusted so the design sits correctly on you — on a shorter frame, for example, part of the shirt pattern may have to be re-cut. Ask for the final video before dispatch and you will see the actual garment before it ships.

Can I return or exchange it after delivery?

No. Every outfit is cut and stitched for one customer, so it cannot be resold or swapped for another size. That is exactly why the review happens before dispatch: ask for progress photographs and video at any stage, and for the complete final video before your order ships. An order can still be cancelled before dispatch — the windows and deductions are set out in our return policy.

Is there any extra cost on top of the price shown?

No hidden charges. The price you see is the price of the outfit. The only additions are the ones you choose yourself: Rush or Super Rush delivery, and any paid add-ons such as jewellery. Each is priced clearly before you pay.

Can I get matching jewellery with this outfit?

Yes. Matching earrings, necklace and related pieces are available as paid add-ons on this product — select them before you add the outfit to your basket and they are made and shipped with the same order.

Can I get a matching hijab or an extra dupatta?

Yes. Both are possible. Message us on WhatsApp when you place your order and we will tell you exactly how to arrange it.

Is Rush or Super Rush delivery available for this outfit?

Yes, on bridal and groom wear. The Estimated Delivery Timeline box near the top of this page shows live dates for Free, Rush and Super Rush against today's date, so it is always accurate for your order.
